Hanwha Group Signs MOU with Alberta Government for Comprehensive Business Cooperation
2026. 04. 22On April 21, 2025 (local time), Hanwha Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Alberta at the provincial legislature in Edmonton, Canada, establishing a framework for mutual investment opportunities and long-term partnership.
The agreement brings together Hanwha Energy, Hanwha Ocean, Hanwha Aerospace, and Hanwha Power as strategic partners, spanning a broad range of sectors including oil, LNG, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and defense and shipbuilding supply chains. In the near term, cooperation will focus on expanding trade in natural gas and other energy resources.
Over the mid-to-long term, the partnership aims to extend into clean energy projects based on hydrogen and ammonia, as well as carbon management infrastructure.
